Genetie ‘Illuminé’ Chardonnay, AOP Bourgogne 2024

The fruit for this wine is sourced from a 12ha plot in the village of Bussières, in the south of the Mâconnais region and the average vine age is about 40 years old. Grown in classic argilo-calcaire, a soil that is known to suit Chardonnay, this is an elegant and accessible wine. 10% of the wine is barrel aged to give a more textural, slightly creamy element to the mouthfeel. It has a gloriously fresh, crisp finish.
